I have a 4310 with various attachments. I've been using it regularly for the past 2 months in quite dusty conditions. Today, for the first time, I am losing power going uphill - behavior and engine sounds similar to those experienced when the tractor is under a heavy load. Any ideas?

The obvious first thing to check from your post (dusty conditions) is the air filter. Is it clean and free flowing? First check the easy things. ....

If you have a problem with power and suspect the air filter you should also notice more black smoke than usual.
Have you changed fuel suppliers? Or has your dealer changed suppliers.
What does your fuel filter look like? You would have to look really hard to notice a difference in exaust with the fuel filter partially plugged.

Chances are the "filter minder" or restriction indicator would have set into the red zone if the air filter was restricted.
Are you attempting to drive up the hill in C range? The engine does not have the power to pull the tractor in C range if you really put the pedal to it. My 4410 will bog down going up hill in C range at WOT.
I quick eye ball of your filter bowl should give you an idea if you fuel filter is restricted.
We can get to pumps, relief valves, filters, and suction screens later if all else pans out. ....

Thanks guys for the tips. I checked the fuel filter and it looked OK. Since the tractor was ready I went ahead and changed the oil, side suction and transmission filters and it seems to be back to it's normal workhorse self! Thanks again. ....

Did you check the LoadMatch switch? When that is off, my 4310 will lag when ascending hills. Even with it on, it still lags a bit, but not nearly as much. ....
